

William Harris Bettens "Bill", 87, passed away on October 31, 2025. Bill was born Sept. 2, 1938 in Great Falls, Montana. After graduating from Northern Montana College, he worked for Montana Power Co. in Havre, Mt. as a dispatcher. In 1961, he went to work for Great Falls Gas Co. as a credit manager. He went back to work for MT. Power in 1963. He was a supervisor of customer accounting in Great Falls for about 14 years. He was also a member of the US Naval Reserve.
Bill and his family moved to Las Vegas in 1977. He drove mini buses and limousines for Whittlesea - V.I.P. Limousine and Silver State Limousine (now Bell Trans). He retired from Bell Trans in 2004. After retiring he worked part time for various destination service companies.
Bill is survived by his 2nd wife of 45 years, Ruth Ann Bettens; a sister, Bonnie (Jack) Noble of Helena, MT; two daughters, Jill Gardner of Las Vegas Vegas and Lindie Mitchell of Reno; four grandsons, Chase, Chris, Elliot, Zion and two nephews, Justin and Tyler.
Bill was a member of First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church here in Las Vegas. He was also a member of the Elk's Lodge since 1959 and the Eagle's Lodge since 1973.
Internment will be at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial in Great Falls, Montana.
