

William John Bushelle January 31, 1976 - February 16, 2014 William John Bushelle , 38 years old, a native of Saint Louis, Missouri. Born January 31, 1976 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Paula and William Bushelle. Will was proud to be an Eagle Scout in Troop 344 earning the Scout Honor Medal for saving a life. After graduating from Ladue Hortin Watkins High School he enlisted in the Navy in Aug 1994. After Basic Training and Electricians Mate "A" school in Great Lakes, IL he completed Basic Underwater Demolition /SEAL Training (BUD/S) Class 202 in Coronado, CA. His first assignment was SEAL Team Four in Little Creek, VA where he served as a platoon operator for the entirety of his active service. He reported to NR SEAL Team Eight in Great Lakes, IL in Aug 1999 while he attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and Minor in Business Administration in Dec 2004. Additionally he served at Naval Special Warfare Unit Two in Stuttgart, Germany and Naval Special Warfare Unit Ten in Rota, Spain during this time. In Jan 2005 he reported to Naval Special Warfare Operational Support Team One in Coronado, Ca where he completed one voluntary deployment to the Al Anbar region of Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006 with SEAL Team Five. He was currently serving in SEAL Team Seventeen's Charlie Platoon. SO 1 Bushelle's civilian career began with Boeing as a manufacturing engineer on the AC- 130 U Gunship Program and he was currently employed at GES Corporation as a Continuous Improvement Manager. His personal decorations include Navy Commendation Medal with Valor, Navy Achievement Medals, Meritorious Service Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal and various other unit and service awards. Will is survived by his beloved parents, Paula and Bill Bushelle of Mary Esther, Florida, brother, Robert Bushelle, special little sister, Kaitlin Agrusa, grandfather, William E. Bushelle and grandmother, Elma E. Warren, aunts and uncles, Daphne and Forrest Phelps, Geoff and Angie Bushelle, Dagmar Bowles, Cathy and Dan Sauter, Debbie and David Beauregard, numerous cousins, fellow classmates, coworkers, special friends, and Seal Team Brothers.
