family member, and friend passed away at age 31. Zack was born in Las Vegas, NV on April 4,
1991 to proud parents Carlos Allen Jr. and Nichole Allen. From his first breath, he brought his
family joy, love, and happiness.
Those who knew Zack well, or barely at all, lost a shining light in their lives. Zack had an
amazing personality and was the life of the party, but most importantly, he was there when
anyone needed him. He had an energy that, with even just one encounter, would have you
remembering him for life. Zack was admired and loved by all; he was an energetic soul with
a huge heart. Not only did he have a passion for his family, but an uncanny ability to build
relationships, especially in his career as a paramedic and firefighter.
Like his dad, Zack loved being outdoors and played many sports. Most of all, he had a love for
snowboarding. Some of his fondest memories were those spent on the mountain with his dad
and mom. He also had a zest for adventure and took every opportunity to venture out and
visit many cities and countries around the world.
From the time he was a teen, he knew he wanted to pursue a life of service as a paramedic
and firefighter. Like his “brothers,” he chose a career where he worked under some of the
most dangerous conditions imaginable. Whether rushing into a burning building, or providing
emergency rescue services, his crew knew that Zack would provide unwavering support.
Zack took great pride in his relationship with his younger brother, Cameron. Their tattoos
with each other’s names symbolize the bond they share. While they spent a lot of time
together, some of the most enjoyable times were attending concerts together. Even though
they were 7 years apart, they were the best of friends.
We are thankful that his G-Ma Kay, Poppy Carlos Sr., Pa Pa Gene, Aunt Kelly, and Uncle Steve
were a huge part of his upbringing. Alongside his parents, they provided him with stability,
love, and support.
Since Zack’s death, many have called or written about how special he was and how fortunate
they were to have known him. These stories have comforted the family during this very
difficult time. Until we meet again, you will always be “Soo Dope” in our hearts.
