

Alice was born on April 2nd, 1934 to parents Fred and Rachael Schenck, in Noxen, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school in 1952, Alice went on to Nesbitt School of Nursing, where she studied nursing, in residency, at Nesbitt for 3 years and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1955.
At the age of 13, Alice met Al, her husband to be, on February 1st, 1948, in Port Orange, Florida. Alice and Al married on August 27th, 1955, and went on to have two children, daughter Susan Alise, and son Aldus Claude. The Myers resided in Samsula, Florida for 36 years. Alice’s nursing career spanned 30 years, working many specialties, including obstetrics, geriatrics, and emergency services for 13 years at West Volusia Memorial Hospital in Deland, FL.
Most of all, Alice loved spending time with her family, doting on her husband, children and grandchildren. Alice also loved and adored her cats and dogs! Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, sewing, and playing the piano. She was active in the church congregation and sang in the choir for many years.
Alice was a very kind and compassionate person, and always had a smile for her friends and family.
Alice is survived by her husband of 68 years, Al, her daughter Susan Alise Edison (Ken), son ‘Dus’ Myers (Jan), nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services in Lilburn, Georgia at 11:00am with an interment following at 2:00pm at The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial gift are encouraged to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or to an organization which benefits the welfare of animals.
