David Sheffey

passed away on November 7, 2020 following an extended illness. He was born in Moulton,

Alabama on January 13, 1959.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years Debbie Rider and two sons Devin ,27, and Michael ,20. He was a grandfather to Patience A. Sheffey ,11 months. He also leaves behind his mother Lula Mae Sheffey and a brother, niece, and nephew Greg, Landria and Karlin Sheffey. In addition to these family members he was also a step-father to Elisha Wanzo, Shannon Rider, and Joseph Sullivan and Elisha's children: Kaleb and Levi Wanzo.

He was preceded in death by his father and son Samuel and Nicholas Sheffey.

David graduated from Lawrence County highschool in 1977. Following highschool he attended

Alexander City State College in which he graduated with his Associates degree in 1982. He then

went on to achieve his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of

Alabama- Huntsville in 1984. From there he went to work for GE; IBM; Pomeroy IT Solutions Inc., which he spent the majority of his career and earned the reputation of being a "Legend" in his field (sales of IT infrastructure and software), and lastly Future Technologies.

David was a very laid back person who didn't allow much to get to him and was always very

patient when dealing with the most tedious situations. During his free time he enjoyed watching

sports whether it was the football, basketball, or baseball. He was very passionate about his

family and his car and lets not forget his cat Mutt. We are going to miss him dearly but " Nothing

- absolutely NOTHING happens in God's world by mistake." Until we meet again.
