Lorayne Cavarretta, daughter of Joseph Clares and June Goodell-Clares was born in Chicago,
Illinois September 19th 1917. At 18 years of age, Lorayne became a professional dancer with a
local Chicago dance company. Lorayne married her husband of 73 years in 1937. Lorayne was
an accomplished business woman and gourmet cook who graduated the Antoinette Pope cooking
school of Chicago, Illinois. Devoted wife of Philip J. Cavarretta, she was the matriarch of her
family and avid traveler. Mother of 4 daughters and 1 son, grandmother of 7, and great
grandmother of 11.
Survived by: Daughter, Diana and husband John Salvatore. Daughter, Patti Jo and husband Ron
Schwarb. Daughter, Cheryl and husband Al Eagleson. Daughter, Lori and husband Richard
Coryell. Son, Philip and wife Kathy Cavarretta.
