She had a long career at Ratheon Corporation in Waltham, MA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col.John J. Back.
She is survived by her sister Ann Berrio in Newport, Vermont
She published "Before and After Milton", an autobiography and was an accomplished poet.
