

Allye Wallace Payne of Loris, SC passed away March 4, 2016 with all three daughters at her side. She was the devoted wife of Norman Lee Payne who predeceased her in 2012 and loving mother of Debbie Carroll of Reston, VA, Cheryl Rachael (Ron) of Loris, SC and Sandy Cain (Fred) of Mary Esther, Florida. She is also survived by granddaughters Avril Givens, Angela Rachael, Rachael Eileen Cain and Amanda Cain and grandsons, Brian Rachael and Cameron Cain, as well as 5 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters, 1 brother, Alva H. Wallace of Powhatan, VA as well as many other relatives. Allye spent many years working in Farmville, VA, as the office manager for Carrington’s Wayside Furniture Store, the owner of the Fabric-Tastic store, and the office manager for Dr. Harold Nase. Allye grew up in Burkeville and attended Burkeville High School. She and Norman married on Norman’s 21st birthday in December 1951 and spent the majority of their married life residing in Burkeville, VA. In 1995 upon her retirement she & Norman moved to Leesburg, FL where they resided until December, 2010. After Norman’s death she moved with daughter Cheryl and son-in-law Ron who cared for her to Loris, SC. She was always reading and a gardener of all kinds of flowers, growing gorgeous orchids during her Florida years. The family held a small private service at her home in Loris, SC and plans some small services in the future at several locations where Norman & Allye wanted their ashes disbursed.
