Arnold Abercrombie

Robert “Arnold” Abercrombie died in his home April 4, 2024, with his wife Joanne at his bedside at the age of 96. Born in 1927 in Miami, Florida, Arnold was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, as well as a US Navy veteran.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private interment will immediately follow the service.

Arnold worked for over 30 years in the food and grocery industry and then as a North Myrtle Beach realtor for several years before retiring. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of the University Of Miami, Florida. Arnold was married to Joanne Heath Abercrombie for over 67 years. He and Joanne were inseparable best friends who did everything together.

Arnold enjoyed playing golf, traveling and visiting family and friends. He liked to sit on his front porch swing and greet his neighbors. Everyone enjoyed the stories and jokes Arnold loved to share.

Survivors include his loving wife Joanne Heath Abercrombie; son, Vant Abercrombie; daughter, Mabry Ann Jackson (Drew); grandsons, Ian Jackson (Lauren), Taylor Jackson and Graham Jackson (Virginia)

He was hard working, friendly, quick to help out a neighbor, and always ready to laugh… especially at himself.
