Barbara Helms Brantley passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her home in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Mrs. Brantley was born on July 10, 1926, the daughter of the late Tracy and Flossie Helms of Monroe, NC. She formally resided in Marshville, NC until 2004, when she moved to North Myrtle Beach to live with her daughter, Karyn Smith. Barbara was a retired medical secretary and Real Estate broker. She was always immaculate in her appearance and loved her family unconditionally.
Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her husband John B. Brantley, as well as nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter and caregiver, Karyn B. Smith; son Chris T. Brantley and wife Sally, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Travis Brantley and his wife Modesty, Jessica Brantley all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marcus Smith of Indian Trail, NC. She had 2 great grandchildren, Jake and Ella Brantley.
Services will be private with the family.
