Catherine Froh Burdt

Born on August 1, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, Cathy was the daughter of Patricia Bohres (Pat) Froh and the late Frank D (Bill) Froh. Cathy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dale Burdt; her daughters, Megan Elizabeth Burdt (Robert Mulligan) and Glenna Catherine Burdt; her mother; her sister, Peggy Froh Asseo (Yosef Asseo); her brother, Doug Froh (Leslie McDonald); and her granddaughter, Nora Mulligan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Suzi Bradley. She is survived by numerous nieces, a nephew, and countless friends.

A graduate of Solon High School in Ohio, Cathy earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and completed her master’s degree at Boston University. Her career in technology marketing took her throughout the US, Europe and Asia. When she retired, she and Dale camped from coast to coast, accompanied by their beloved hound mix, Dunbar.

A proud mother and grandmother, Cathy spoke with her family daily and cherished every moment spent with them. Committed to living her faith through service, she was an active member of the Myrtle Beach Rotary Club, where she proudly helped to organize community events for children.

Cathy will be remembered for her generous spirit, determination, boundless enthusiasm, and unwavering love for the people in her life. Her legacy lives on in those she touched through her kindness, wisdom, service, and friendship.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Hwy 90 Little River, SC 29566.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts in Cathy’s memory be made to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International or the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.
