Cathy E. Knight

Cathy E. Knight, age 47, of Little River, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Born on October 31, 1975 in Lancaster, South Carolina she was the daughter of Kenneth and Catherine Ernandez.

A member of North Myrtle Beach Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cathy was a devout Christian who adored her church and church family. She was known as the “Gospel Gangster” by her fellow church members, but better known as someone who put others first. Cathy loved her family and cherished each moment spent with them. She especially loved her canine companions, Marley and Lucy who were like children of her own. Cathy and her husband Stephen relocated to Little River in July of 2001 from Bennettsville, South Carolina. She attended International Pentecostal Holiness Church School in her earlier years. Cathy also owned and operated Caring Cleaning Company for seven years.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Stephen Knight; son, S. Tyler Knight (Kayla); daughter, Brittany Knight Logue (Timothy); grandchildren, Macy Grace Knight, Emmett Troy Knight, Novalee Mercy Knight, T.J. Logue and expecting future grandchild, Sully Logue; sisters, Francine Richardson, Sara Mullis (Claude) and brother, Tommy Ernandez.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at North Myrtle Beach Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Longs, South Carolina.
