Paul David Rautenberg, JR lost his beloved mother, Darlene Todd
Darlene battled breast cancer, but never lost her faith and never stopped giving out the best hugs even with her diagnosis of Stage 4 brain cancer on February 6, 2024.
Darlene Todd, 65 wife of Billy Wayne Todd, passed away Monday May 13, 2024 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital of Little River surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 28, 1959 in Conway, a daughter of late James R. Jordan Sr. and Sarah J. Jordan owners and operators of Waterway Furniture Store. She was raised and baptized at Free Worship FWB of Pentecostal Faith Church.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, sister, niece, “Meme”, Grandma, and friend. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed many things in life but mostly enjoyed traveling highway 22 to Little River to see her son and work side by side.
Darlene was faithful to Free Welcome Free Will Baptist Church, where she cherished her fellow brothers and sisters. Her unwavering faith and kindness touched everyone she met.
Darlene’s Christian faith was an essential part of her life. She spent a great deal of time mentoring and providing to others in need. She also participated in the baptism of dozens of individuals at the Jordan Family summer home on the Waccamaw River. Darlene will be missed by the other faithful church volunteers who met to serve family and friends meals whenever needed. Church gathering won’t be the same without the HOT Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Darlene along with her brother and sister have been honoring their parent’s legacy by continuing business and living Mr. Jordan’s moto “living room, dining room, bedroom Furniture We Have want you need at Waterway Furniture Company.
Darlene is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Billy Wayne Todd; son, Paul David Rautenberg Jr. wife Jennifer and granddaughter Connolly; Stepson Michael Todd (April) and grandsons Carson, CamRee and Bryson Todd; sister Josephine Smith (Tim); brother James R. Jordan Jr. (Cindy); Nephews Joey Todd (Sandra); Bryan Jordan (Amanda); Derek Jordan (Briana); Niece Katie Jordan; Great Nieces Hailey and Sarah Todd; Lydia Jordan and Naomi Jordan.
She was predeceased by her parents and stepson Kevin Todd.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Lee Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May17, 2024 at Free Worship FWB of Pentecostal Faith Church with Reverend Gregg Cannon and Allen Goodman officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery
