David was born on April 16th, 1953 in Welch, WV, the son of the late Eldridge and Mary Jane Hale. The days that were given to him by his Heavenly Father were marked with laughter and a loyal, hard-working dedication to his much loved family. From working in the coal mines, to being an electrician, to making just about any project for his daughter, and enjoying nighttime fishing with his son, David had a brilliant mind that loved to work hard and serve others with the talent that had been given him.
After moving to Charlotte, NC in 2000, he founded Lighthouse Electric of Charlotte. He was a member of South Charlotte Baptist Church in Pineville, NC, and was blessed to serve in the bus ministry as well.
In addition, he loved the beach, mountains, and golf, but mostly loved time with family, grandchildren, and friends.
Most of all, this is how we remember him: Quiet, yet able to fill a room with laughter at the smallest joke. Quiet, yet faithfully caring for his family. Quiet, unable to even know if he was in pain. Quiet, yet a fighter. A quiet love, but a steadfast, humble love through the hardest of days.
David is survived by his wife, Judy Hale; his three children, Scottie, Ryan, and MacKenzie; his siblings, Sharon (Tommy) Sorah, Bruce (Tina) Hale, Larry Hale, Cindy Sission; and his grandchildren, Elora, Attikis, Atlas, and Atlan; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15th, 2025 at South Charlotte Baptist Church at 12416 Lancaster Hwy. Pineville, NC 28134. Visitation will be from 11 am – 11:30 am and service from 11:30 am – Noon.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Wilds Christian Camp in memory of David Hale.
