Dean Reuben Lemovitz, age 72, of Longs, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Daniel Lemovitz and Dorothy (Dolly) Levy.
Dean is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Donna (Fenning) Lemovitz; three daughters, Danielle Raymond of Millbury, MA; Dara Prunier and her husband Timothy of Oxford, MA; and Dawn Lemovitz and her longtime partner Nick Dimopoulous of Stow, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Cameron and Isabella Raymond of Millbury, MA; Alexander Lemovitz-Prunier and his wife Nicole of East Wareham, MA; Zachary Lemovitz-Prunier and Kaylei Prunier of Oxford, MA; and Rodney “RJ” Nunes of Stow, MA.
He also leaves behind two brothers, Richard Lemovitz and his wife Cindy of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Scott Lemovitz and his wife Debra of Paxton, MA; sister-in-law Cindy Enman and her husband John of Auburn, MA; brother-in-law Barry Fenning and his wife Jean Kelly of North Brookfield, MA; and his mother-in-law Priscilla Fenning, formerly of Auburn, MA. Dean was blessed with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Gary Gurwitz of Worcester, MA, with whom he shared a special bond.
He was predeceased by his parents and his father-in-law, Robert Fenning.
Dean was a graduate of Doherty Memorial High School, Class of 1971. He worked for many years in his family’s business, Allstate Lighting, alongside his father, and later as a lighting manufacturer sales representative. In the late 1980s, Dean transitioned into the automotive industry, where he held management positions at several dealerships, including over 20 years with Ragsdale.
Dean’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and sharing life with his best friend, his wife Donna. He loved taking his convertible out for drives, relaxing on the beach with a cooler packed for two, and enjoying his morning gym visits—more for the socializing than the exercise. He cherished his weekly “Coffee Talk” calls with his brother Scott every Tuesday at 8:15 a.m.
Per Dean’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River is serving the family.
