Deborah Edge

Deborah Sales Edge, the wife of Robert (Bob) Edge, passed away in North Myrtle Beach on May 8, 2023, after an extended illness. She was born July 12, 1947, in Summerville, SC, the daughter of the late Belva Knight Smith (Frank, deceased) of Ridgeville and the late William (Bill) Sales of Goose Creek.

Debbie graduated from Summerville High School and Rice Business College. She retired from Salisbury Brick Corporation in Summerville, and then worked in real estate on Daniel Island at Waterfront Properties. Debbie loved to shag, cook, and go to the beach. She was a fun-loving person, beautiful inside and outside. She was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends.

Surviving are her husband Bob; son Kevin L. Wiggins; and two stepchildren Tanya Edge and Brad Edge, of North Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by her uncles Vernie Knight Jr. (Sherrell, deceased) and Everett Knight Sr. (Jane) of Summerville, Aunt Linda Knight Hallex (Charles) of Edisto Island, four first cousins (and their four children), and numerous extended Charpia and Knight cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Vernie and Belle (Charpia) Knight Sr. of Summerville and her ex-husband and son’s father Douglas L. Wiggins of Ridgeville.

Debbie’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held later in Summerville. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077 or https://info/arthritis. org.
