

Dennis L. Cooper, age 79, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Born on September 20, 1945, in Newport News, Virginia, he was a son of the late Oscar and Dorothy Cooper.
Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia Cooper; sons, Christopher Cooper (Holly Langston), Todd Cooper (May Corbett); brother, Curtis Cooper; grandchildren, Brendan Todd Cooper, Amanda Cooper, Ania Shope, Destiny Wall, Mason Shope; along with his best friends, Robert and Charlotte Kniesche. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Randy Cooper; uncle, John Tyndall; aunt, Catherine Tyndall; grandson, baby Blake.
Dennis was a family man who cherished each moment spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved sports and being outdoors. You could always find him at his children’s ballgames throughout their childhoods. He also had a passion for playing softball in his younger years. Dennis was well known as a computer genius. He was extremely talented when it came to electronics. Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam and retired from the Yorktown Naval Weapon Station in 1999.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.
