My deepest condolences on the passing of Rusty. I will keep all of the family in my prayers. She was a second Mom to me growing up and I definitely needed all the love and advice that I could get. Rusty lived by her own rules and loved everybody unconditionally. She was a pillar of strength for her family.  This world will have less sunshine without her.  Rest in Peace always Rusty!

I have found it hard to find the words to describe just how special you were to me, but here we are.

 Thank you for always encouraging me to be creative, follow my dreams and be patient. Thank you for always reassuring me that I was a good mom, things get easier, and this is just a season of life. Thank you for the  years of advice about listening to my parents (haha),  jobs, motherhood, flowers, decorating and cooking. Thank you for all the stories about you, mom, big mama, Joyce and our family that I will cherish forever. Thank you for being my mom’s person through the good times and bad, she misses you so much already.  And most of all, thank you for always loving all of us the way you did.

You are one of the strongest people I have ever known, and the world is a little bit dimmer without you in it, but we will continue to shine your bright light through our family and your memories.

Give my Joyce a big hug for me, keep watch on all of us from up above, and don’t cut up too much!

Nonna….As I learned of your passing so many forgotten memories flooded my mind .  It just seems so unreal.  I will miss you forever .  You were the matriarch of our family and we will be forever grateful for your support and advice throughout the years.  I love you Mom.

It was a privilege to have known Rusty.  She was a joy to be with, always great company!  We have both enjoyed the deep conversations and story exchanges that we have shared together with her.  Rusty will forever be in our fondest memories.

Nonna, you are a cherished member of our family. You brought joy, love, and warmth to everyone you met. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will always be remembered. I am going to miss our talks, text and all your gardening tips. You never judge me and accepted me just as I am. I love you and even though I am devastated you are gone. I find peace knowing you are no longer in pain. Your legacy of love and compassion will live in my heart forever. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will always be with me. I hope you are eating some butter fingers right now. Until, I see you again.

To my dearest stepmom.
You grew my world and showed me that it could be filled with love, wonder and amazing opportunities - often told by your own stories with a playful glint in your eye.
Whenever life got hard you gave me support and encouragement and although we were often miles apart you gave me the power to believe in myself because you believed in me.
You were a beloved Nonna to Poppy and Jesse, where they knew that going to Nonna and Poppa’s house would always mean making new magical memories.
I will deeply miss our long chats on the bed, your wisdom, humour, encouragement and determination. I hope I will continue to make you proud and although you are no longer here in person I know that your spirit is with us each day.

Rusty, for as long as I have known you, you have been a source of wisdom, humour and great determination.  Whenever we would come to visit you would bless us with stories of your travels and adventures, and of the lessons learned along the way.  

You introduced me to the delights of southern cooking (and more!), so much so that when we cook we will often say “what would Rusty do?” before adding another knob of butter!

You were so welcoming to me when I was a new member of the family, so loving to Poppy and Jesse, and I know a source of advice and support to Lynsey.  We will all miss you deeply.

To my dearest Nonna, I hope I continue to make you proud and use all the life lessons you taught me to make this world a better place. I will spend the rest of my life missing you. I promise to make sure everyone is taken care of & will make sure your plants always get watered ❤️ I hope you are up there planting so many plants & cooking so many youtube recipes.
