Donna Sims Malphrus

Donna Sims Malphrus, age 61, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Born in Miami, Florida on November 12, 1960 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Gerri Lee Sims.

Survivors include her loving husband, Collins Perry Malphrus, Sr.; son, Collins Perry Malphrus, Jr.; daughter, Sally Elliott (Freddie); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with a numerous amount of beloved friends that were as close as family.

A member of Green Sea Baptist Church, Donna served as the pastor’s wife from 1997-2003. She was a graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, South Carolina Class of 1978. After high school, Donna attended Orangeburg Calhoun technical college majoring in respiratory therapy in 1996. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, cooking, the beach, collecting seashells and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. A devout Christian with a servant’s heart, Donna was very loving and enjoyed helping others. She loved laughing and had the ability to light up any room. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held the evening prior to the service on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
