Earline N. Jones

She is survived by her children, Thomas Downer (Kathy), Brenda Fox (John), Serina Taylor (Bob); sister, Irene Covington; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Earline was preceded in death by her parents along with her husband of over 20 years, Johnny Jones; son, John Paul Downer, Jr.; sisters, Esther Tharp, Joanne Jorge; brothers, Tommy Nealy, Ray Norris. The Jones family would like to extend a special thank you to Darlene Saunders and Deborah Manor for the loving care they provided.

Earline loved cooking and baking. She was the first to offer a delicious home-cooked meal to anyone who happened to be sick or in need. Earline prepared many Sunday dinners over the years. She fed masses of people and enjoyed each moment of it. A member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Earline was well known by her church members for her devotion to her church and her amazing cooking and baking skills. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping and going for a ride to town or out to dinner.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
