Esther P. Abbott

Esther P. Abbott, 90, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center.

Born on May 4, 1926 in Glouster Point, VA, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Ruby Davis Phillips.

Survivors include her children, Davis V. “Dave” Abbott of North Myrtle Beach, Patricia A. Brown Lloyd of Little River; grandchildren, David V. Abbott and his wife Tammy, James W. Brown and his wife Cristy, Catherine A. Jones; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 1 niece, 3 nephews and ex-daughter-in-law, Kathleen Y. Walters and her husband Darel of Longs. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, William W. Abbott, Jr.; 2 brothers, Hubert C. Phillips and Jennings C. Phillips; and sister, Hilda P. Kemp.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 9 in Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
