

Eugenia “Genie” Lee Cook Marshall, 80, entered into His “REST” when the Lord Jesus chose to take her unto Himself on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital. She was surrounded by her dear husband John Marshall of 53 years and family.
Born October 19, 1940, to the late Harold and Martha Cook in Baltimore MD, she graduated from Towson High School. Genie was a homemaker until 1984 when she was a 4-H camp caretaker until retirement. She was a loving mother of 5 children and a spiritual mother to many. She was currently residing in Little River SC.
She spent her life serving God and sharing her faith to all she encountered. Eugenia Lee Marshall followed the Lord Jesus Christ until He became all of her life. She wrote a book titled, The Holy Walk, sharing her faith walk in life. The last thing you would hear her say when she said goodbye was, “God Bless You!”
She is rejoicing in heaven with her dearest sister, Joyce Niland; parents Harold and Martha Cook; and her grandmother. Mini Pentz (Gam).
Surviving is her husband of 53 years, John William Marshall of Lancaster PA; three sons, Scott Thomas (Janie) of NC; Mark Thomas (Faith) of PA; Edward Thomas (Michelle) of NC; two daughters Katherine Skiles (Robert) of SC; and Jessica Haden (Johnathan) of WV; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of New Life will be held at 2:00pm on May 29, 2021, at 4311 Wiggins Mill Road Wilson, NC 27893. Thank you Lord Jesus for Your precious LOVE and eternal Life.
