Geoffrey Girling

Geoffrey Girling, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Born on May 5, 1947, in Woking, England, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Patricia Girling. Geoffrey was the devoted husband of the late Joyce G. Girling.

A talented jeweler, Geoffrey was both a manufacturer and designer and worked in the UK as well as South Africa before retiring. He met and married Joyce in London, England and they were married for 25 years before her passing in 2023. He was an avid golfer and loved cooking. He would entertain his family and friends with elaborate meals and treasured each moment they were together.

Geoffrey is survived by his children, Stuart Girling, Joanna Girling, Matthew Girling (Liz), Emmi Clegg (Matt); step sons: Randy Roberts (Mandie), Chad Roberts (Brooke); fourteen grandchildren; and a brother, Colin Girling.

A visitation for Geoffrey will be held at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566 on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. with a time for reflection by family and friends at 3:30 p.m.

Geoffrey and Joyce’s love for each other was unwavering and the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in their honor and remembrance.
