

Glenn D. Willard, Jr., 76, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away December 7, 2020.
Born in Olean, NY, on July 2, 1944, he was the son of Glenn D. and Elsie H. Stromberg Willard. He was married to Sandra H. Willard for 41 years.
Glenn was a 1962 graduate of Allegany Central School and Olean Business Institute. He served with the First Cavalry Division as a personal specialist from 1963 to 1965 at the DMZ in Musanni, Korea. Glenn also served with the ROTC Instructor Group at Saint Bonaventure University in Saint Bonaventure, NY.
Mr. Willard was the owner and president of G. Willard Electric in Olean, NY, for 20 years. He was a member of the IBEW and a certified journeyman electrician of the Local 106 in Jamestown, NY. In a second career, Glenn was the construction supervisor of Time Warner Cable in the Lake Norman area and Mooresville, NC.
Glenn was a member of the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church in North Myrtle Beach, were he served on the Property Team. He was a member of Olean Lodge #252 F&AM, Scottish Rite of Jamestown, NY, a past member of the Allegany Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the American Legion Post #892 in Allegany, NY. He was also the past president of the Cattaraugus County Shrine Club and an avid Carolina Panther fan.
Mr. Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and traveling. He visited all 50 states and more than 25 countries. Glenn was a starter/ranger at Myrtlewood Golf Club where he offered unsolicited advice to members and visitors alike.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters Amy Klopf of Paradise Valley, AZ; Karyn Murphy of Bronx, NY; stepdaughter Kimberly Sprinkle of Chesterfield, VA; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and his sister, Ann Van Skiver, of Allegany, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association SC Chapter, 1039 474th Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC, 29577.
