I think of you often, Jake, but especially today. I know you are with family and friends, but we miss you. You kept us on our toes, and the world is a little less bright because you are not here with us. I am going to eat cheese in your honor today. This might seem silly, but I think it would make you smile.

First and foremost, my love and condolences to Jakes family. 

For years after he left Wall HS, I wished I had known where he'd gone. Jake was one of few people outside of my small group of friends who treated me with kindness.  But we'd talk about anything and everything in a span of five or ten minutes  - it'd be a wild ride! He enjoyed needling me until the point of fury and then make me laugh hysterically. My kind of person!

Once or twice a year, I'd try to see if I could find Jake through the interwebs and I'd fail, but I was hopeful I could reconnect with my pal someday. In the past couple weeks though, a song he had loved in HS came on and wouldn't let up. So today, I went to look once more.

I really had hoped that one day I would get to thank him for creating joy for me in an environment that wasn't always so kind to me, or to see that infectious smile again. My heart aches today knowing I'll do neither.

Ever on, Jake. Til we meet again.

Jake and I, shared a lot of memories, memories I will never forget.

Jake was a great man who put others ahead of himself, being the best he could while it lasted. 

I came very close to Jake, we met on the internet and I never got to see him in real life. But we talked day in day out about everything. We had a lot of things in common so we could discuss for hours on end. 

I loved Jake and he will always be in my heart, I would not be the person I am today without him.

Jake comfort have always been like a Star in the sky to me, he was so far away yet I could always see him and talk to him. Nowadays I look up at the sky and think of him, talk to him because I know he’s still there. His legacy will live on and he will always be in my heart.

I had a couple of months of not much talking with Jake but during these months I was very unhappy, but thinking of him made me able to cope with my problems, like he’s always helped me out. 

I can never forgive myself for not saying goodbye to the man, but I will one day visit him and say goodbye. 

Jake was never my friend, he was so much more than that. He was a mentor, a guidance, a loved one, a knight, a night owl  and so much more. He was my yoda.

Thinking of you today, Jake. I know that wherever you are you are engaged in stimulating conversations with those who love you. We miss you. Rest easy.

Jake was a man that can only be described as well, the greatest friend a person could ask for. I have never know anyone quite like Jake, he was smart, inquisitive, loyal to his friends and family but more importantly he had a heart like no other. He would ensure that his friends would go before him, listen to everyone else’s problems before even considering his own as important. 

Jake was a person one could take to or be around for hours upon end, he was so well adversed in his knowledge that you could consult him on the widest of topics, yet he also cared for the simple things in life. My memories of Jake seem almost endless from our first interaction being discussing a documentary, to language, computers or just a casual conversation. 

Jake passed too young and will forever be in my heart and my memories. Thank you for many memories. Rest In Peace. 

Jake and I were best friends. We spent many many hours on "road trips" all over the US, from NYC to Boston to FL and CO.  Jake loved to travel, but he loved cars and music more. They were his passions. We went to more auto shows in a year then most go to in a lifetime.   He played piano at 4 and learned to drive his Power Wheels Jeep at 5 and could ride a two wheel bike also.  He loved to read, stories, magazines,  websites, didn't matter he would read it, and remember what he read.  He had an infectious smile and a warm and gentle personality. He loved everyone and animals, especially his dogs, Regis, Cosmo and Tony.  His family was very important to him and he treasured when they visited us or vice versa. He always had story to tell  or pass along some information he read. Loved to talk. To anybody, but he a real soft spot for older folks. He would spend time with them when he worked at the dealerships.  He would take care of them. Get them coffee or whatever. He was one of kind. Gone way too early, He had much more to give.  No one will miss him more then me.  Love , DAD 

Jake, man he was such an inspiration to the world. I can recall the countless after countless hours we had on video calls in DM’s.

He wasn’t afraid of who he was, he knew exactly who he was. He let his heart be free, open. He showed to his discord friends and community how to be a great leader. 

He gave so much to me, and asked for very little back. I know that wherever you are now Jake, you still are blessing others. Where ever that may be.

You had such a big smile, and always something on your mind that you weren’t afraid of saying.

My favorite quote that you sent to me in Discord DM’s is:
“I just wanna make all the difference I can in the world. Life in earth is short. Compared to an eternity (if there is one) in an afterlife. and If there is a heaven/hell, going to hell doesn’t sound appealing to me. So I wanna do as much good as I can while Im alive.”

You have blessed my little 5'1 body, and heart! I can’t believe your already gone. This world needs more people just like you!

To Jake, i was a good friend. I remember talking all night, ranting about music and things we shared in common. When we first met he knew me as Charlie, we had a great community on discord that was made of only the best people i have met. I was told about his passing only now by a long time friend, at first i couldn't believe it, but now i have come to realise it and mourn him. I will always miss him, I will always miss our late night calls and i will most importantly never forget what he was and what he still is, to me he was Rise and Jake, one of my best ever friends. May you rest in piece my good friend.

No words could ever express how I’m feeling inside after hearing about the loss of my Nephew, and I can only imagine the sorrow of loosing a child. My prayers are with the Comfort Family. Only time will help heal all are broken hearts and move forward remembering  Jake in the ways that he touched all our hearts inside. He is now with Jesus in a peaceful place where no more pain and suffering exists. We will all see you again in Heaven. Rest in peace Nephew. I miss you more then I could ever express into words. I have so many fond memories of times we spent together and will have more to come in Heaven above......
