

James J. Alessi passed away November 17, 2020. He was 72.
Born July 24, 1948 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Mariano “Meyer” and Nina (Georgianna) Alessi, he lived in Highland Park, NJ before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1993. He was a business owner in the home building, remodeling and inspection industries for over 30 years. He also served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972.
Jim was an Ambassador at the Beach Ball Classic for over 15 years and was lovingly given the honor of the “Kentucky Colonel” by several coaches from that state. He loved boating, riding his Harley and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa M. Alessi of Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughter Carrie (Alessi) Gerlando and her husband Christopher of North Myrtle Beach, SC; his brother Robert Alessi and his wife Cathie of Kendall Park, NJ; his sister Mariann Loch of Kendall Park, NJ; his grandchild Anthony Gerlando; four nieces and two nephews.
Services will be held privately with the family.
