James Eugene Neely, 79, passed away at Embrace Hospice House on September 4, 2019. Born December 4, 1939 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late John Knox and Lena Smith Neely.
Mr. Neely is survived by his wife, Caren Smith Neely; two daughters, Hope Steed and Margaret Gettys; one sister, Jackie Cooke; and three grandchildren.
James served our country as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Later, he owned Neely Chevrolet in Belmont, NC and also worked as a mortgage lender in North Myrtle Beach since 1982.
Family and friends will celebrate his life at a later date.
