James A. Schuster

Born in Detroit, Michigan, James was the son of the late Leroy and Louise Seguin Schuster. He lived a life devoted to family, service, and faith.

James proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and spent 26 years as a dedicated volunteer firefighter in Waterford, Michigan. His commitment to helping others left a lasting impression on his community. He was also a long-time member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Pontiac, Michigan, where he found strength in his faith and fellowship.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan P. Schuster; his children, James B. Schuster, Marc D. Schuster and wife Kelly, and Michele McBain and husband John; and his cherished grandchildren, Blake J. Schuster, Hayley N. Schuster, and Alex J. Schuster.

James is also survived by his brothers, Robert L. Schuster and wife Janet, and Chuck Shuster and wife Betty Ann; as well as his sister-in-law, Betty Lou Schuster.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Muma, and his brother, Thomas R. Schuster, in addition to his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
