Janie D. Ward, age 85, of Bolivia, North Carolina passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at home with her family by her side. Born on June 20, 1939, Janie was born in her home, to the late Warren A. Moore and Patsy Elizabeth Harris Moore. She was the devoted wife of the late Loyd Ward until his passing on December 17, 2016.
A talented beautician, Janie owned and operated Jane's Beauty Salon until her retirement. She was a member of United Vision Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth "Candy" Faulk; sons, Loyd "Rocky" Ward (Tammy), Robin Scott Mishoe; sister, Daphne Williams; special grandson, Shay Chadwick; as well as eight additional grandchildren. Janie was preceded in death by her son, Gary Dean Ward; son in law, Stanley Faulk; two brothers; and three sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Hickman Cemetery (Whispering Pines Cemetery) with Rev. Sam Crane officiating.
