Jesse Warren Crawford

Born on September 25, 1939 in Dushore, PA, Jesse was a son of the late Warren and Leontine Fenton Crawford. Jesse was a proud veteran of the US Navy.

A loving and devoted husband, Jesse married Maureen Crawford on July 3, 1977. They resided in Elmira, NY, where he was a past member of the Horseheads NY Moose club and American Legion.

Following the death of Maureen in February 2016, Jesse relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC to be with his daughter, Dawn Crans. Jesse retired from Kennedy Valve following numerous years of dedicated service. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan; loved reading; cooking; and scratch off lottery tickets. His greatest time spent was with his family. The memories made will be treasured forever.

Surviving are his brothers, Gordon Crawford, Erven Crawford; sister, Marilyn Stringham; children, Joey Crawford, Timothy Crawford, Debbie Austin, Donald Smith, Dawn Crans, Denise Wead, Daniel Smith; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; and many friends.

His brothers, James, Lewis, Clayton, Donald, Lloyd Crawford and sisters, Evelyn Shaffer and Mary Barber preceded Jesse in death.

There will be memorial services held in Myrtle Beach SC and Horseheads NY with a celebration of life and interment of ashes at the home of his brother Gordon Crawford sometime late spring- early summer.
