Born on June 28, 1937, Jimmy grew up in the Spring Branch community alongside his sister and three brothers. It was during those early years that he discovered his love for fishing, spending countless hours with his brothers in the creeks and ponds surrounding their family home.
Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he developed a deep love for airplanes and the sense of freedom that flying gave him. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the railroad. Through years of dedication and hard work, he earned the respect and friendship of many colleagues.
Jimmy’s greatest passions were the music and adventures he shared with his beloved wife of over 55 years, Faye Sparks Enzor. A devoted fan of bluegrass music together they traveled extensively across the country. Jimmy and Fay traveled in their RV, creating countless memories on the open road—from bluegrass shows in the Smoky Mountains to air shows in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his sister, Bobby Yates of North Myrtle Beach, and his brother, Wayne Enzor of Nichols, who will forever remember him as a kind, steadfast, and loving sibling. Jimmy was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Fay, and his brothers Eddison and Gale Enzor.
Jimmy’s warm spirit, love of music, and adventurous heart touched everyone who knew him. His family and friends take comfort in knowing that he lived a full life filled with the things that mattered most to him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 10 at Lee Funeral Home at 11 AM. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
