John B. Doherty

He was the loving husband of the late Jeannette C. (DeRonda) Doherty.

John was born in New York, NY on November 1, 1950, a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Scollan) Doherty.

He was a US Navy Veteran and retired as Park Manager for Minnewaska State Park in New York. He was head of the emergency room volunteers at McLeod Seacoast Hospital and a master gardener.

He is survived by two brothers; Thomas Doherty and Daniel Doherty; two sisters; Margaret Gonzalez and Mary Failla; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Patrick Doherty, Robert Doherty, and James Doherty.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 11840 Hwy 90, Little River, SC. A blessing service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery, Savannah GA on Friday, February 26, 2021.
