

John J. Sudia, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at home with his wife by his side. Born on December 6, 1948, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the only son of the late Paul Joseph and Antonette (Nagates) Sudia.
Affectionately known to his family and friends as “Skip” or “Jersey John” was the dedicated husband of Doreen (Zelna) Sudia. The two married on July 4, 1975, in Lyndhurst, NJ, and spent most of their married life in New Jersey before moving to North Myrtle Beach in 2010.
John was a proud US Army Veteran. Following his time serving in the Army, he began working in with New Jersey Transit RR, where he was an electrician. John was a member of the Elks Lodge #1992, in N. Arlington, NJ and The American Legion Post 0107, Hoboken, NJ.
A true southern gentleman, John always spoke kind words of everyone he knew, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at local hangouts, fishing, crabbing, and scuba-diving. Most importantly, he loved making memories enjoying his life together with his wife, Dee. They spent many vacations traveling throughout the US and the Caribbean cruising as well as time in the Florida Keys.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by his sisters, Carol Ann Amato and Joan Sorrentino and nephews, Louis Amato and Michael Amato.
