

Johnny C. Sullivan, 76, of Longs, SC went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2024, after a brief illness. Johnny was born in Simpsonville, SC on June 25,1948 to the late JC Sullivan and Juanita Garrett Sullivan.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carla Moore Sullivan; son, Michael Parenti(Heather) and grandsons, Hayden and Parker Parenti of Buford, GA; a niece, Heather Sullivan Williams (Jamie) and great-niece, Sullivan Grace Williams of Simpsonville, SC; a nephew, Jonathan Brashier of Greenville, SC; his aunt, Gaylene Cooley of Easley, SC and his dearest friends, Darryn and Denise Romanelli of Southport, NC. He is also survived by many cousins throughout upstate South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Sullivan and sister-in-law, Cynthia Sullivan of Simpsonville, SC.
Upon graduating from high school, Johnny joined the Air Force serving in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC in the mid 1970’s and was a volunteer with the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad and an employee for the city of North Myrtle Beach as a firefighter from 1976 through 1984. Upon leaving the fire department, he started an antique business until he retired. He had a passion for antique cars and trucks and loved his old 1951 Chevy pickup truck named “Red Ryder”. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and the “old” NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. John was a jokester who loved telling stories and making everyone laugh, especially all the nieces and nephews he gained when he married his wife, Carla.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 by the Sullivan family at 3203 SC-9, Little River, SC 29566, with a light lunch to follow.
