Born in 1953 in Battle Creek, MI. Julie was the daughter of Walter and Maxine Chimel. She grew up with deep family roots and strong values that shaped the life she lived and shared with others.
Julie married the love of her life, Frank, and together they built a 26 year marriage filled with devotion,
laughter, and faith. She was the proud mother of four children; Jason Lambert, Robin Bronwell, Eric Lambert, and Katherine Miller. Julie was a grandmother to nine, and great grandmother to one.
She was also a sister to Peter Chimel. Her greatest joy was found in her family; she loved her grandchildren and delighted in every milestone, celebration, and gathering.
She was a faithful member of North Strand Community Church, where she served with joy and compassion. Julie’s kindness, hospitality and gentle faith touched countless lives.
She was a Stevens Minister and was in training to be a hospice volunteer. She loved her “Peeps” luncheons with her dearest friends. Those passions brought warmth and riches to her days.
Julie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her husband, Frank, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, as well as many relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maxine Chimel, and her son, Jason Lambert.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at North Strand Community Church. Friends are invited to gather with her family to honor her memory.
