Lisa Pickett

Lisa Kristen Pickett, 55, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, following a brief illness at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center. Born on February 5, 1970, in Rochester, NY, Lisa was the daughter of Frank and Kathleen Pickett.

A 1988 graduate of Nashua High School, Lisa received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. Following graduation, Lisa moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and began working in the hospitality industry, where she excelled in event management. She enrolled at the University of New Orleans to further her studies; however, her career was far more successful than the time permitted for higher education.

When Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc throughout the city, Lisa moved to California and resided in Napa Valley for the next three years. She returned to New Orleans in 2008 where she was Marriott’s Sr. Event Manager. Lisa took pride in everything she did and whether she was working or at home, she was living life to the fullest. She was a phenomenal cook who never knew how to make just your “average” meal… each dish was delectable and had your taste buds hoppin’! Lisa was a true “Foodie” and she had a tremendous collection of cookbooks!

An avid sports fan, Lisa enjoyed football, cheering for both the New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints; basketball, Boston Celtics; baseball, Boston Red Sox; and even hockey, Boston Bruins.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her brother, William “Bill” Pickett (Larissa); niece, Alexandra Pickett; and nephew Aedan Pickett. She is also survived by her two cherished dogs, Fenway and Big Papi.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Humane Society of North Myrtte Beach, 409 Bay St, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566.
