Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Marian Saunders passed away at River Park Senior Living in Little River, South Carolina at the age of 96.
Marian was born in Oxon Hill, Maryland to father, Horace Thomas, and mother, Lillian Taylor, who preceded her in death. She subsequently moved to Arlington, Virginia where she met and married Morris Saunders in 1942. They raised three children, Richard Saunders, Janet Raein (deceased) and Patricia Bodenstein, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Upon retiring as a bank manager, she moved to Thornburg, Virginia. For over 20 years, she was travel director for the Fredericksburg Senior Citizens Association. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards and boating on Lake Anna. She later moved to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be near her daughter.
No funeral service is planned.
