Nancy Graves

Nancy Graves, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River. Born in Dallas, Texas, Nancy was the daughter of the late Clark W. and Mary Ruth Ashworth Smith.

Having a father who retired from the USAF, Nancy was accustomed to relocating around the world. It was while they were in Altus, Ok that she met William, while he was serving in the USAF. They married on June 19, 1964. The two continued to travel as he was assigned to various stations throughout the US, Germany, and Australia. He eventually retired in Kansas. They then made their home in Irving, Texas where they resided for 24 years until moving to Little River, SC in 2006. Nancy was a talented crafter and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a lover and nurturer of all animals with a special fondness for cats and dogs.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years, William, she is survived by her children; Christy Renee Graves, David William Graves, and Rebecca Dawn Graves. Also surviving are 13 grand children and 2 great-grand children.

A memorial service will be held at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
