Patsy Coppersmith

Patsy Phillmore (Mullins) Coppersmith, 87, of Carolina Shores, passed away June 5, 2023, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born to the late Millard and Helen (Worthington) Mullins, November 19, 1935, in Allen Junction, West Virginia.

In 1985,Patsy married the late Harry Coppersmith. They lived together in Bowie, Maryland, for thirteen years before relocating to Little River, South Carolina, in 1998. Patsy was predeceased by her loving husband in 2020.

Patsy retired from Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company in 1988 after 31 years of service. She worked for American West Airlines for a year after her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Baker (Mark) of Coronado, California, and Penny Markulis of Palm Coast, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Christopher Bushong of San Diego, California, Jennifer Rhines (Brad) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Michael Baker (Maria) of San Diego, California, and Steven Markulis of Naperville, Illinois, as well as her four great-grandchildren: Kallie Rhines, Grayson Rhines, Rowen Bushong and Mateo Baker.

Patsy was immensely proud of her grandchildren.

Aside from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Patsy is also survived by her cousin and good friend, Patricia Worthington, of Little River.
