Peggy Smith Little

Peggy Ann Smith Little, 71, of Calabash, NC died Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born in Brunswick County, NC on January 14, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Roy Smith and the late Esther Ward Smith. Peggy was the devoted wife of the late Dennis M. Little.

Surviving are her son, Ashley Little (Stephanie); daughter, Heather Little; grandsons, David Little (Destiny), Callan Little; sister, Carol Fry; brothers, David Smith (Betty), Ricky Smith; and sister-in-Law, Dorena Hewett (Donnie). Peggy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a member of Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she was a long-time choir member. She loved the Lord and her church family very much.

A dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister, Peggy loved her family fiercely and treasured spending time with them as much as possible. Being outside in the sunshine and gardening were pastimes she greatly enjoyed.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church.
