Peter Serbanica

Peter Serbanica, 69, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021. Born in Summit, NJ, he was a son of the late Stan Serbanica and Margrit Dirhold Serbanica.

Peter was the faithful and loving husband of Jane Evitts Serbanica. Married 43 years, Peter and Jane were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Melissa Serbanica and Stephanie Serbanica Di Lauri (husband, Mike). Always having enjoyed family vacations to North Myrtle Beach, five years ago, upon retirement, the couple made a permanent move from New Jersey to Horry County. Peter spent many days fishing, taking daily walks around the neighborhood and enjoying the beach.

The birth of his granddaughter Noelle gave Peter great happiness as he took the name “Papa” very seriously. Noelle filled Papa’s heart with joy over the past two years and she was the love of his life. She will greatly miss him but shared memories will be treasured throughout her lifetime.

Peter was kind hearted and well loved and had a great sense of humor. He took every opportunity he could to crack a joke. He was always a friend willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Whether something simple or difficult, Peter was the man to call. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving Peter are his wife, Jane; daughters, Melissa and Stephanie; son-in-law Mike Di Lauri, granddaughter, Noelle Di Lauri; brothers, Mihai Serbanica, Stan Serbanica, Jr; sisters, Elke Biddulph and Christine Ellmer and many nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Serbanica.
