I had the pleasure of teaching Randy at Cochrane Junior High.   Randy was a charismatic teenager--handsome and quite the cut-up--very popular and well-liked by his peers.  As the drama teacher, I directed a school play and Randy offered to help with lighting, scenery, etc. The name of the play was Aaron Slick from Punkin' Crick.  I gave Randy one line to speak on stage or perhaps it was one word.  No one ever heard him speak because the audience went wild with applause when he walked out on stage.   It was a very special moment.  That year, for Randy's assistance & participation in theatre, I awarded him the Actor of the year award.  It was well deserved.  Rest in peace, Randy.  I'll never forget you.

Everyone we meet in our lives carry special places in our hearts! No matter the distance in between us,  races in the infield at Charlotte with great friends, to fishing on the pier on vacation, Randy always made a point to come see us even if it was just for a second.  I met Randy in the infield of Charlotte through wonderful friends, always fun.  Never a dull moment.  Randy is one of a kind and is a great man!  Will miss you dearly buddy!  See you on the other side.  Prayers!  

 Met Randy and 1990s at the infield at Charlotte motor speedway for 30 years we have called each other silly names and enjoy each time we saw each other  I was always missed behaving and he told me I was going to the hole  you my friend are with Buster Buster in heaven drinking a cold one and I’m still in a hole  Peace My friend

Lots of great memories with Randy, from the race track to his visits to Ohio. Never a dull moment and always the Southern gentleman. He would even stop to see us when we were on vacation with the kids. The best was being known as part of the “kids” and that is something I will hold very dear to my heart. You will be so greatly missed. 

I was blessed to have you as a friend and even more blessed that I could count on you for anything.  You became my soundboard and friend through some trying times and forever grateful for that.  I remember visiting you often at your round table in the garage.   You loved my cornbread and requested it often since you gave me an iron skillet I use quite often still.  You filled me with laughter so many times with your teasing insults.  Ill never forget that laugh.  Rest easy Randy and keep that smile on your face.  💕💕  Terri Wagner

There's not a South Carolina story that doesn't involve Randy.
We lost a best friend. He was our family by choice and our lives are changed because of him. We will never have a more loyal friend. Truly a one in a million. 
Thank you, Randy, for the joy you brought to our lives, and some of the best times we've ever had. Thank you for choosing us to be family.  We will never quit telling your stories and remembering all the good times. We love you❤

In 2014 my wife & I were vacationing in North Myrtle Beach and decided to ride down to Little River and stopped at the Food Lion and ran into Randy, I hadn't seen him  in year's   it really made my day to see him after all those year's, RIP my friend

He was the only brother I ever really had. When mom and Freddy would go off for the week-end, Randy was always staying there with me so I wouldn't be by myself. I was only 17 at the time
 We cooked alot and listened to his police scanner.  RIP Randy. God Bless You.
