

Richard was a compassionate man that loved his family and friends dearly. He never met a stranger; he was blessed with the ability to make friends at first sight. He was a simple man that loved and lived life to its fullest. He was employed with the N.C. Dept. of Transportation and absolutely enjoyed his job and co-workers.
Richard leaves behind his wife Judith Hightower; a twin brother David Cain; sisters Kimberly Carroll (Stewart); Amanda Logan (Francis); nephews Justin Cain, Tommy Cain, and Troy Cain; nieces Tessa Cain and Tiffany Cain; great niece and nephew Haisley Cain and Asher Cain. Besides family, Richard leaves behind his four-legged fur baby and companion Piper, as well as many special friends that were near and dear to his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents Wingate Fuller Cain and Alice Brisson Cain.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life memorial in the White Oak Cemetery in White Oak NC, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with the interment of ashes ceremony at a later date.
