Robert P. De Nicholas

Born on October 19, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey, Robert was the son of the late Rocco and Lucile De Nicholas. He was a graduate of Nutley High School in Nutley, NJ, and Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. Twenty-five years ago, he made Little River his home, where he enjoyed a relaxed coastal life surrounded by family and friends.

Robert was devoted to his family and is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dolores De Nicholas; his daughters, Marie Krown and Lisa Newsome; his cherished grandchildren, Nick Shaw, Michael Shaw, Brianna Newsome, Daniel Newsome III, and Kiersten Newsome; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Riley Shaw, Reese Shaw, Roman Shaw, and Atlas Newsome. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Sperry.

Robert had a deep love for life and adventure. He especially enjoyed traveling across the country in his motorhome with his wife, golfing, bowling, and watching sports. His warmth, loyalty, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory.
