Mr. King was born January 1, 1949 in Raleigh, NC to the late Alton and Mary King. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Barrentine King; 2 daughters, Renee K. Smith (Christopher), Laura A. King; a stepdaughter, Crystal M. Vaughan (Mike); 3 brothers, Lavelle, Glenn and Jerry King; a sister, Helen Smith; and 3 grandchildren, Alexis, Lauren and Carson Smith.
