Sandra S. Segal

Sandra S. Segal, 78, passed away on August 31, 2020.

Sandy was born in Washington, DC, on February 27, 1942. Sandy was the daughter of James and Estelle Sokol Labofish.

She graduated from Fairfield H.S. in 1960 and received her B.S. in Education from Shippensburg University. She spent her adult years as an English teacher at the Red Lion Area High School in Pennsylvania and retired from the Absegami School System in New Jersey. Sandra loved teaching and her students. After retirement, she continued working with students as a tutor for many years.

Sandra enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross stitch, travel, and playing mah-jongg with her friends. She also loved the beach and finally moved to Little River, SC, in 2018. It was here that she lived her dream of walking the beach, collecting seashells and looking for sharks’ teeth.

Sandra is survived by her children, daughter Elizabeth Kahwajy; a son Keith Kahwajy; a sister, Patsy Roth; grandchildren Amanda Kahwajy and Alex Zdrojewski; and nieces Kristine, Allison, and Andrea Roth. She was preceded in death by her brother, Andre Duvall (Jan) of LaPorte, CO.
