I was Tom’s client starting in 1999. He was a great partner and we became friends. In the last few years, we reconnected and had some great conversations about life, music, and politics. Tom was a wonderful human being. 

 I so enjoyed working for Tom when he was general manager of the Chicago Amtrak Call Center, after arriving from Ben Salem. He and Mary Swindell (Dallas) made a great team and afterwards, Tom carried the torch as he went out west to build the new mega call center in Riverside. Tom taught me a lot during his days in Chicago and for that, I will always be grateful. Thanks Tom....now you rest.    My deepest condolences to Doris and the rest of the Soltes Family.  

Tom was a unique person.  I met him when I worked in AMTRAK reservations, Chicago RSO.    I just reconnected with him last year.  He's provided wonderful thoughts, guidance and support as I chase my own dragon.  I've survived but life is still one day at a time.  He gave me some powerful insight and thoughts to work on myself.   Rest in Peace knowing you helped one person in a difficult time. 

So sorry for our loss. I will always cherish my memories of Tom.  From the early days when I could count on some free pizza, to lately, with his wit and perseverance.

Tom was a dear friend who opened his home and shared his family with me.   We spent a lot of time together when we both lived in Colorado and when the world sent us out on new adventures across the country, we always stayed in touch.   I was his “little Sis” and we enjoyed one another’s humor and life perspective. Tom was a good man and will always be in my heart. Godspeed, my friend. 

Met Tom when I came to Southern California for the union - he was managing the Amtrak reservation center and we clashed a bit at first but then came to respect each other and  then later to become friends - he was a good man and gone to soon - Rest In Peace my friend, my sincere condolences to all his family.

I met Tom in 1991 when I began working at the Amtrak RSO satellite office in Corona, Ca. He was welcoming and nice. He always had a smile for you and a kind word.  He was a pleasure to work with. I enjoyed his Facebook posts about family and his dog Abbee. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace with our Heavenly Father above. 💜

I met Tom thru Amtrak.  My group started training in Corona  while the RSO  -Riverside was about to begin construction. 

My heart breaks for his family.  Thru Facebook, Tom was one of the first people to send his condolences to me last August when I lost my husband. His kindness and sincerity were so appreciated.

Unbelievable to hear about Tom’s passing.  My sympathies are with his wife and family.  I am so sorry!

I wouldn't be were I am today if it wasnt for Tom. He started me in my Railroad career 31 years ago. But before that he was my friend. We bowled together we played softball together and I will never forget him. Thank you Tom for being my friend.
