

She attended Purdue University where she met her future husband, Ed. They were married Sept 10, 1955 and settled in Yorktown, Indiana to raise a family. She eventually returned to work as a Bookkeeper and continued the work until her retirement. Vera and Ed were avid bridge players ultimately achieving the honor of Master Players. They were both members of the US Coast Guard Auxillary serving in both Minnesota, where they had a summer home, and Missouri, where they resided the remainder of the year. They travelled extensively visiting all continents except Antarctica. She and Ed moved to Little River, SC in 2017 to be closer to family. Ed passed in 2018 after 63 years of marriage.
Vera is survived by 3 children (Stacey, Kevin, Jana); 5 grandchildren (Sarah, Ryan, Kimberly, Patrick, Alana); 4 great grandchildren (Michael, Kataryn, Alina, Anthony) and 1 great great grandchild.
Vera and Ed will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Indiana. A private ceremony to be held at a later date.
