William J. Raphael

William J. (Bill) Raphael, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away at home with grace and dignity surrounded by his immediate family, on May 28, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Peggy) of 65 years. Predeceased by two brothers, John and Joey Raphael, and sister Anne Furtak; and daughter-in-law, Donna Raphael. Devoted father of William G. Raphael (Julie), Diane Jacobs (Richard), James J. Raphael and friend Grainne Geller, and Peggy Ann Lam (Danny); his brother, Donald Raphael. Devoted grandfather of nine grandchildren. Devoted great grandfather of five great grandchildren.

He grew up in Bronx, NY. He made a career as a NYC Steamfitter with Local 638. He was a very hard working man and often worked several jobs in order to provide for our family. His family was the center of his life. He was a charismatic individual who was always willing to lend his support of a worthy cause. Bill was a firm believer in giving back, having volunteered throughout his life. He was a member of the Our Lady Star of The Sea Knights of Columbus and The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Horry County Division 1.

Visitation is scheduled at 4:00-8:00pm on Sunday, June 6, 2021, in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Our Lady Star of the Sea located in North Myrtle Beach.
