Antoinette Marie Sherwood

She was a long-time resident of West Orange, NJ. Antoinette was born on January 15, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to parents, Stephen and Mary Ulicny. She graduated from Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1956. At age 18, Antoinette (Toni) moved to Orange, NJ and worked for the Commission of the Blind before marrying Robert (Bob) Sherwood. Antoinette was a homemaker and worked part-time at a local tennis shop.

Antoinette found great joy in her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, with whom she shared cherished moments. Outside of her family life, Antoinette was an avid reader, gardener and loved spending time in her backyard.

Antoinette was one of eight children.

Antoinette is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Sherwood of 65 years, three children, Gary Sherwood of Wall Twp, NJ , Joan and (Keith) Westpy of Chapel Hill, NC, and Lee and (Sharon) Sherwood of Succasunna, NJ, 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Samuel, Andrew (Taylor DaCanal) and Joseph; sister of Theresa (and the late Ernie) Jones, Bernardine (Danny) Chimock, and George (Yolanda) Ulicny. Antoinette is predeceased by her sister Theresa (Jimmy) Drugan, and brothers, Steven (Marie) Ulicny, Joseph (Beverly) Ulicny, and John Ulicny.

A viewing/visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039, from 4pm to 8pm with a prayer service at 7pm. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
